Sharon Drop-in Stairs
Pre-engineered System Stairs are steel stairs that are “Manufactured” rather than traditional “Fabricated” steel stairs. Our accredited presentation dives into the vast differences between the two. Much time is spent on reviewing the classification of all stairs in general and where use of a manufactured system can be utilized to offer design time and dollar savings. When applicable, manufactured stairs can save 30% or more compared to traditional fabrication methods, while not only meeting, but exceeding all required functional values.
In a power point format we will review the stair business from A to Z. From shaft development and design, comprehensive review of connection design and details, rail styles, tread products, code review, specification requirements, discussion of differences in all aspects of a manufactured system and bid day scenarios to ensure complete and accurate documents with regards to steel stair scope. This presentation is very educational and we are happy to provide references from other A/E firms who have attended.
This program has gained national recognition and an extended version was given at the 2004 “North American Steel Construction Conference”, sponsored by the AISC. We encourage all persons in your firm to attend whether involved in design, detailing, specifications, construction management or business development.
